Can Philip give fillip to Artemis Capital?

Can Philip give fillip to Artemis Capital? by Tom White
Artemis have announced a change of fund manager on the Artemis Capital unit trust. The fund will continue to be run using the SmartGARP quantitative stock ranking system, but will henceforth be run by Philip Wolstencroft, creator of the process and named manager on the Artemis European fund. Former manager Jacob de Tusch-Lec will be concentrating on the management of the newly launched Artemis Global Income fund.

Recommendation

The fund’s performance has been disappoining in recent years and, in view of Wolstencroft’s lack of a track record running UK funds, we have removed the two star rating on the fund.
