Rensburg UK Select Growth - Downgraded
By STEPHEN MARRIOTT 24/09/2010
We have downgraded this fund to two stars as we believe that current market conditions do not suit the manager’s investment style. Poor macro economic calls meant that the fund was caught out on both sides of the credit crunch – the fund held too many small and mid cap stocks into the fourth quarter 2008 market downturn and then became too defensive as markets rallied in the second half of 2009. We believe the manager’s process is better suited to more consistent economic conditions.
