Alister Hibbert took over the management of Blackrock European Dynamic in March 2008 having previously worked at SWIP and Invesco Perpetual. When Alister joined BlackRock a substantial number of his team at SWIP, including Vincent Devlin, also joined the company.
Since then Hibbert has produced excellent performance for investors and whilst the fund size is still flexible (£550m) we think it is likely to continue. Note that this is a very active fund with a high turnover of stocks, typically turning over the portfolio twice a year.
Hibbert has proved adept at capitalising on trends within the market and has been one of the few managers to consistently beat the IMA Europe Ex UK peer group in rising months. He achieved this without experiencing relative loss during months when the index has fallen.
