Artemis Capital - Upgraded

This fund is effectively a UK version of the four star rated Artemis European Growth and Global Growth funds, which have successfully implemented the SMART GARP process. The result is that the portfolio is primarily driven by stock selection, resulting in active positions to reflect the output from the SMART GARP model.
Mark Tyndall has been managing the fund since September 2002 and has consistently outperformed the FTSE All Share index. Original concerns centred on the manager's growing responsibilities as CEO proving a distraction. However, the contribution from SMART GARP as well as the addition of a co-manager, Jacob de Tusch-Lec, have given us more confidence in this fund.
The rating is raised to three stars.
