A focused FTSE All share equity fund that carries no formal sector or market capitalisation constraints. The small and lower mid cap ideas are taken from the Merrill Lynch UK Smaller Companies fund also managed by Richard Plackett.
To date Plackett has built a strong track record across both his Small Companies and Special Situation mandates. With a clearly defined investment process / style and the resources of the Merrill Lynch Group at his disposal, we believe there is a high probability that above average performance can be maintained for the foreseeable future. The fund is awarded a 4 star rating.
