The Fund’s 3 star rating has been removed following the change of manager. Botham had been running this Fund since the end of 1994, but will now focus on the Horizon Continental European Equity Fund, an offshore vehicle, as well as Henderson’s European institutional business.
The new manager, Paul Casson, joined Henderson in October 2005 from SVM and currently manages European equity mandates for Henderson's US Mutual Fund clients. He will take over the management of this Fund on 1 July. The shape of the portfolio is unlikely to change dramatically; the typical number of holdings will remain between 40 and 60 stocks with a split between large caps and mid / small caps.
The rating has been suspended. It should be noted that we will meet Paul Casson in the next few weeks and monitor his progress.
