Jupiter Ecology - New Rating

Jupiter Ecology - New Rating by Mark Hinton

Charlie Thomas has managed this fund since September 2003 with a ‘dark green’ approach to ethical investments across global markets. There is a bias towards UK companies and the portfolio will be largely invested in medium and small sized companies that fall within themes such as clean energy and green transport. A separate Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) committee screen global companies and excludes companies from Thomas’ investment universe if they have significant involvement to areas such as nuclear power, gambling, tobacco or animal testing.

This fund is a possible alternative, or a complement, to the F&C Stewardship funds due to more offshore holdings and has been awarded three stars.
