Invesco Perpetual have announced that Head of International Equity Products Kathryn Langridge is leaving the group. Langridge, who joined the company (then Perpetual) in 1990, is believed to now be joining Lloyd George.
Langridge is replaced on her international mandates by Invesco CEO/CIO Bob Yerbury - these include Invesco Perpetual Global Small Companies and Invesco Perpetual International Equity. Her emerging markets fund, Invesco Perpetual Emerging Countries, will now be run by Dean Newman, currently the manager of Invesco’s Latin American fund. Her Asian responsibilities are being handed over to Stuart Parks.
Recommendation
Bob Yerbury has run the Invesco Perpetual International Equity fund before and has a reasonable track record. However, we continue to recommend investors switch into one of our rated alternatives in the Global Growth sector - these include Artemis Global Growth, M&G Global Leaders and Investec Global Free Enterprise. In accordance with standard procedure we have suspended the two star rating on the Global Smaller Companies fund.
