EP Global Opportunities Fund I GBP- New Rating

By MARCEL PORCHERON 04/05/2007

EP Global Opportunities Fund I GBP- New Rating by Marcel Porcheron
As an alternative to the £59m Edinburgh Partners Global Opportunities Investment Trust, investors should consider the larger offshore fund, the EP Global Opportunities I GBP. The team at EP split the global equity universe by sector for analysis and look for companies with a Price/ Earnings ratio of less than 10 times, 5 years ahead. Portfolio construction is centred around the potential range of outcomes on each stock, where analysts calculate the likelihood of the central case, best case or worst case return. Turnover in the fund is typically low and reflects the long term outlook of the team. Commonality of holdings between this larger and more liquid fund and the smaller investment trust is high. US Dollar and Euro share classes are also available for non sterling based investors.
