Shard landing on Invesco’s North American funds
Invesco Perpetual have named Andrew Shard as the new manager of their North American funds: US Aggressive, US Equity and US Smaller Companies. Shard joined Invesco Perpetual in November 2007, having previously worked as a portfolio manager at CIS and Halifax and more recently at Lehman Brothers as a US equity stockbroker covering institutional clients in the UK. The funds had been run on an interim basis by Bob Yerbury, the group’s CEO and CIO, following the resignation of previous US head Ian Brady in December.
Recommendation
These funds have underperformed substantially in recent years and all featured in Bestinvest’s recent Spot the Dog guide. Our US rated funds included JPM US, M&G American and Schroder US Smaller Companies.
