This fund has struggled to perform ever since its founding co-manager, Simon Roberts, departed Lazards in April 2004. In fact the combined record of the current co-management team - Alan Custis / Tony Willis is an average loss of 0.1% per month, which produces an MRI score of 54% (29/2/08).
The fund has a bias to large cap stocks (70%), which historically has been a hard area of the market to consistently beat. Nonetheless the fund no longer qualifies for a Bestinvest buy rating and we have thus downgraded the fund to one star - a sell rating.
