Artemis UK Smaller Companies - Downgraded

Mark Niznik was appointed the co-manager with John Dodd on this fund in October 2007. We feel the new partnership is complementary as Niznik’s investment style is slightly more cautious than Dodds. Nonetheless, we have chosen to downgrade the fund on the basis that we previously rated Niznik as a three star manager when he managed Standard Life UK Opportunities, and we are slightly concerned about the size of the fund which now stands at £600m.

The fund has been downgraded to three stars.
