Old Mutual have announced that Ashton Bradbury is to take a step back from day to day fund management duties at the end of this year, when he assumes the newly created position of Old Mutual Head of Equities.
Whilst Bradbury will continue to chair the monthly UK Mid and Small Company asset allocation meetings, he will hand over responsibility for his long only UK Select Mid Cap fund to Richard Watts, currently number 2 on the fund. Bradbury also manages a hedge fund which will be taken over by Luke Kerr, who also manages the Old Mutual UK Specialist Equity Hedge Fund. Dan Nickols, currently manager of the onshore UK Select Small Companies fund, has been promoted to head of mid and small cap equities in Bradbury’s place.
Richard Watts has been at Old Mutual for the past 6 years; he has been number 2 manager on the Select Mid cap fund and joint manager on a mid cap segregated mandate for the last 2 years.
