Old Mutual’s Les Jones to retire
By JANE KOTCHKINA 01/04/2009
The long-term relationship between Les Jones and Japanese equities is coming to an end. After spending over 40 years in the industry, mainly investing in Japanese equities, Jones is set to retire in April 2009. His Old Mutual Japanese Select Fund will pass to OMAM’s Quantitative Strategies team to be managed using a systematic investment process, losing the discretionary stock picking approach altogether. Portfolios will cover the broad Japanese market and will be built using a risk and return optimisation process.
