Newton International Bond - Rating Suspended by robert harley

Newton announced today that Stewart Cowley has resigned from his position after 8 years with the group to take a similar role at Old Mutual in the New Year. Cowley was responsible for assets under management of £3.5bn at Newton. His move follows in the footsteps of Mark Allpress, previously Head of Fund Sales at Newton, who joined Old Mutual earlier in the year.

Cowley’s responsibilities have been formally handed to Paul Brain, number 2 manager on the fund for the last 4 years, and currently named manager on the Dynamic Bond Fund. In the meantime our rating on the International Bond Fund has been suspended. Alternative funds include Baring’s or Invesco Perpetual’s Global Bond Funds.
