Artemis Strategic Bond - downgraded
By ROBERT HARLEY 21/01/2009
It has been a difficult 12 months for the Artemis Strategic Bond, against an extremely challenging backdrop for the credit markets. Over this period the fund recorded a loss including income of 18%, driven primarily by positions in lower quality, high yield bonds and subordinated financials. The fund had previously reported strong returns since its launch in June 2005, however the events of the last 12 months have effectively wiped out that hard work, leaving the fund broadly in line with peer group returns. We have reduced our rating to 3 stars.
