Old Mutual UK Select Mid Cap: Watts replaces Bradbury

By TOM WHITE 01/01/2009

Old Mutual UK Select Mid Cap: Watts replaces Bradbury by Tom White
As previously announced, Ashton Bradbury has passed control of the Old Mutual UK Select Mid Cap fund to Richard Watts. Bradbury, who had been running the fund since launch in 2002, remains at Old Mutual as a board member and head of equities, and will continue to chair the UK Mid & Small Cap team’s monthly investment strategy meetings.

Recommendation

We downgraded this fund from four to two stars when this change was originally announced. In view of the strength of Old Mutual’s team and Bradbury’s continued input we are maintaining the two star rating following the change of manager.
