Fidelity Funds India Focus - Mehra bows out
By MARCEL PORCHERON 31/03/2009
Fidelity has announced that they have replaced Arun Mehra as manager of Fidelity Funds India Focus with Hong Kong based Teera Chanpongsang. The fund had considerably underperformed some of its competitors and the market over one and three years after a difficult 2008.
Recommendation
Although Chanpongsang has significant investment experience in the Asian equity region he does not have a sufficient track record of running an Indian equity fund to qualify for a Bestinvest rating.
