Personal Assets Trust - New Rating

By STEPHEN MARRIOTT 16/07/2009

Personal Assets Trust - New Rating by Stephen Marriott

Managed by Sebastian Lyon, one of the original founders of Troy Asset Management, the trust invests primarily in equities, bonds, gold and cash. It follows an absolute return style aiming for volatility (risk) no higher than the FTSE All Share index. However, negative returns are still possible in falling markets.

The trust has been awarded three stars and is appropriate for those investors looking for a core approach to asset allocation decisions.

Note the directors pursue an active buy back policy of shares and therefore the trust rarely trades at a discount to its net asset value.
