The
Jupiter International Financials fund seeks to achieve long term capital growth principally through investment in equities of financial sector companies on an international basis. Under UCITS III, the Jupiter International Financials will use derivatives, including sector swaps, contracts for differences, and futures. The objectives and strategies are similar to the manager's existing long only
Jupiter Financial Opportunities fund with a notable exception being that Financial Opportunities has a requirement to be 50% invested at all times. The new Jupiter International Financials fund may use derivatives more extensively rather than simply for hedging purposes. The new fund also introduces a 15% performance fee for returns above the FTSE Global Financials index, subject to a high water mark. The fund is awarded a 4 star ‘buy’ rating.
