We continue to be impressed with the Standard Life Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) ability to generate a positive return across all market conditions by investing in a diversified range of strategies within a risk controlled framework. As a reminder, the fund may contain traditional investments such as equities and bonds, but may also hold derivatives. Equity exposure may be gained through holding direct Standard Life funds. The GARS fund seeks to exploit market inefficiencies over a 3 to 5 year time horizon.
