Investment process

The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets in the equity securities and of small domestic US companies defined as those with a market capitalisation of less the $5bn. The mandate of the fund does, however, allow the manager to assume a defensive position in cash or near cash equivilants. The fund will not use derivatives or similar instruments.
The manager attempts to add value through a bottom-up process and typically seeks companies with a good management in a position to exploit a change in the market.

The value of your investments and the income from them can go down as well as up, and you can get back less than you originally invested. Past performance or any yields quoted should not be considered reliable indicators of future returns. Before investing in funds please check the specific risk factors on the key features document or refer to our risk warning notice as some funds can be high risk or complex; they may also have risks relating to the geographical area, industry sector and/or underlying assets in which they invest. Prevailing tax rates and relief are dependent on your individual circumstances and are subject to change.
