Investment process

The fund aims to achieve capital growth by investing in the Asian and Pacific markets. The fund invests in two F&C investment funds, the F&C Pacific Growth OEIC and the F&C Japanese Equity SICAV. The fund may also hold cash. Normally the majority of the fund will be invested in the F&C Pacific Growth OEIC, which invests in companies based or trading in Asian and Pacific markets but excludes Japan. Emphasis is placed on less well-developed markets in the region when open to outside investors. The other main element of the fund, the F&C Japanese Equity SICAV, invests in companies that are either incorporated in Japan, or a predominant part of their economic activity derives from Japan.

The value of your investments and the income from them can go down as well as up, and you can get back less than you originally invested. Past performance or any yields quoted should not be considered reliable indicators of future returns. Before investing in funds please check the specific risk factors on the key features document or refer to our risk warning notice as some funds can be high risk or complex; they may also have risks relating to the geographical area, industry sector and/or underlying assets in which they invest. Prevailing tax rates and relief are dependent on your individual circumstances and are subject to change.
