The fund's objective is to provide capital growth by investing primarily in European smaller companies, excluding the United Kingdom. This fund invests in European companies in the bottom 25% of their markets in terms of market capitalisation. The fund managers look for companies with strong competitive positions and good long term potential. A key focus is on sustainability of returns and business strategy to ensure that a company is well positioned to defend its margins. The fund takes committed positions in a concentrated portfolio that may include emerging Europe equities.
