Investment process

The aim of the fund, above that needed for inclusion within the Distribution peer group, (minimum 60/40 equity bond split and 125% yield of the FTSE All Share Index), is to provide a growing level of income at least in line with inflation and low volatility in capital growth.
L&G adopt a more complex view towards their asset allocation split compared to some of their peers, with the fund given a great degree of latitude as to which asset classes it may invest within.
Fund manager David North, manages the fund as an asset allocator, deciding upon the asset split of the fund. He also manages the high yield segment of the portfolio but his main role is to determine which assets to favour and those to underweight.
