Investment process

Established in 1993 the trust will aim to achieve capital growth by investing mainly in companies with a market cap below £250m, (when initially investing). The fund has the ability to invest in all companies fully listed on LSE outside the FTSE 100. It also has the scope to invest overseas and on AIM. Unquoted securities will not be included.
In general a bottom up approach in stock selection is taken, bringing a thematic approach, backed by top down thinking. Ideas are generally generated through brokers. These ideas are then followed up by management meetings and assessments of the underlying industries. The fund prefers to be invested in a broad number of sectors.

The value of your investments and the income from them can go down as well as up and you can get back less than you originally invested. Any yields quoted cannot be taken as a reliable indicator of future returns. Before investing in funds please check the specific risk factors on the key features document or refer to our risk warning notice as some funds can be high risk or complex. Prevailing tax rates and relief are dependent on your individual circumstances and are subject to change.
