Investment process


Although branded through Scottish Equitable, the group's asset management division, Aegon Asset Management, are contracted to manage the portfolio. The fund invests globally with each regional team managing their portion of the assets.
Aegon believe in an active management beginning the investment process with macroeconomic analysis. The asset allocation policy can change on a weekly basis to take account of rapidly changing market conditions. Stock selection follows the standard Aegon process with stocks being rated on a 1-5 basis with the house following what it describes as a "GARP", (Growth At a Reasonable Price), policy.
