Investment process

The trust favours those companies which are at the forefront of change within the Japanese economy, with less regard for the make up of the funds benchmark, the TSE 1 index.
The trust is managed out of London but benefits from being part of the wider Japanese team which is based in Tokyo. Consequently stocks are selected on a bottom up basis with mid-cap growth companies being the main focus. As such the fund is investing in a mixture of companies which have emerged with new technologies or 'older economy' stocks which are embracing new opportunities.

The value of your investments and the income from them can go down as well as up, and you can get back less than you originally invested. Past performance or any yields quoted should not be considered reliable indicators of future returns. Before investing in funds please check the specific risk factors on the key features document or refer to our risk warning notice as some funds can be high risk or complex; they may also have risks relating to the geographical area, industry sector and/or underlying assets in which they invest.
