Investment process

This fund aims to deliver strong returns by investing in shares temporarily out of favour with the market, where significant recovery is expected. Although the emphasis is on UK companies the fund may invest in special situations worldwide.
Rathbone are keen proponents of global thematics, which are driven from both micro and macroeconomic inputs. Once the manager has selected attractive sectors he focuses on identifying the most undervalued shares within those sectors. The manager typically targets companies with strong cash flow, sound balance sheets and quality management.
