Investment process


The investment policy of the fund is to invest in equities and equity type investments of
companies listed on the main European markets or which carry on a significant part of their operations in Europe (including the UK). Up to 10% of the fund may be invested in smaller emerging European markets, as included in the MSCI Emerging markets Index from time-to-time.
Stocks are subjected to a positive and negative ethical screening process using software provided by Ethical Investment Research Service (EIRIS).
Positive criteria – the company provides a positive contribution to the environment, has
sound employment practises and clear policies and procedures on bribery and corruption.
Negative criteria – the company does not contribute to environmental damage, animal
testing, genetic engineering, produce alcohol or tobacco or have an involvement in
gambling.
