Open a SIPP online in minutes
You can open a Best SIPP account online in just a few minutes*. Simply complete a short application form and make a first contribution into your SIPP using a debit card. Our dedicated pensions team will take care of the rest and let you know when everything's set up. Use the buttons to your right to get started.
Transferring your pensions into a SIPP
If you've already got pensions elsewhere you can transfer them into a Best SIPP to consolidate your investments in one place.** You could cut down on paperwork and save money on fees too. Plus, we'll pay up to £500 towards your current pension provider's exit fees.***

Are you making employer contributions into your SIPP?
*The process will take longer if you would like to set up employer contributions when you open your Best SIPP account. If you’d like to do so, please complete and return our SIPP application form or call us on 020 7189 2400 and we will be happy to talk you through the process. We will notify you once your employer contributions have been set up, and you will then be able to manage your pension through our online service in the usual way.
Want to invest in a Child SIPP?
You can make annual Child SIPP contributions of up to £2,880 (net) on behalf of your child/grandchild. The government automatically adds up to £720 (20%) tax relief. However if the child has earnings above £3,600, you will be able to pay in more during that tax year.
If you would like to find out how to open a Child SIPP simply call us on 020 7189 2400 or download our Child SIPP application form.
**Before you consider any transfer, it is important to ask yourself: Will I incur any penalties on my existing pension if I transfer? Is it an occupational final salary pension scheme? (in which case it is very unlikely to be advisable to transfer) Have I considered the charges on my current plan? (a new arrangement may be more expensive – especially if you have a stakeholder pension) If you are near retirement or don’t need the additional flexibility of a SIPP it may not be worth considering a transfer at all.
***Exit fees may apply if you close your Best SIPP account.
SIPPs are not suitable for everyone. If you don’t want to invest across different asset classes or don’t think you will make use of the investment choices that SIPPs give you then a SIPP might not be right for you. Self-directed investors should regularly review their SIPP portfolio, or seek professional advice, to ensure that the underlying investments remain in line with their pension objectives.
