Investment fund downgrades from the Emerging Markets, Asia Pacific and European equity sectors

After reviewing our list of our rated funds from the Emerging Markets, Asia Pacific and European equity sectors, we have decided to downgrade the star ratings of a number of funds from those sectors that we currently cover in our research.

Why have we downgraded these funds?

We are looking to focus our research on a more limited number of ideas from these equity sectors, ideas in which we have higher levels of conviction.

Each of these funds are now rated as a one-star ‘switch’ – this is to reflect the withdrawal of future coverage. Our alternative, high-conviction ideas will benefit from our ongoing monitoring.

We have downgraded the ratings of the following funds:

European equity

  • FP Argonaut European Alpha
  • TM Sanditon European

Asia Pacific equity

  • Aberdeen Global Asia Pacific Equity
  • Aberdeen Asia Pacific Equity
  • Aberdeen Global Asian Smaller Companies
  • Aberdeen Asia Pacific & Japan Equity
  • First State Greater China Growth

Emerging Market equity

  • Aberdeen Global Indian Equity
  • Stewart Investors Indian Subcontinent
  • Stewart Investors Latin America
