This is a split capital investment trust with Ordinary shares and ZDPs. Earlier ZDPs were repaid in full in June 2009 following a U$172m fundraising which included U$60m from the managers invested in the ordinary shares. This shows the confidence they have in their portfolio of investments and also aligns the interests of shareholders and management. However, the investment policy involves currency risk (most of the assets are dollar denominated) and investment in risky, unquoted securities of small US companies.
