• None of these changes impact your fees or the core online investment service we provide to you.
• We have taken this opportunity to update to our latest branding and make small wording and aesthetic enhancements in line with our work to improve the consumer understanding of our documents as part of Consumer Duty.
• Material changes are then explained below.

What are the changes to the Bestinvest Terms of Business?

• The principal change to the Terms of Business is that we have incorporated an updated version of the Terms and Conditions for Custody Services of your custodian, SEI Investments (Europe) Ltd [SEI], who holds on your behalf the money and assets that you invest via Bestinvest.

What has changed in the SEI Terms and Conditions?

Key updates to the Terms are set out below, but please note that the below list is a non-exhaustive list of updates:

• General updates throughout the Terms to reflect the New Consumer Duty rules implemented by the Financial Conduct Authority, including updates to ensure that the Terms are clear and understandable;
• Amendments to Section 7 of the Terms, specifically in relation to unbreakable term deposits;
• Inclusion of a new Section 8 to the Terms which details how SIEL treats fractional assets;
• Amendments to Section 13 of the Terms to incorporate data protection updates; and
• An amendment to Section 17 of the Terms to update the notice period of variation to the Terms for end-customers from (sixty) 60 days to (thirty) 30 days

For the avoidance of doubt, the notice period for the updates to the Terms which will become effective is (sixty) 60 days; the updated (thirty) 30 day notice period will be effective for any updates to the Terms after the Effective Date.

What about the update to the Key Facts About Our Services and Costs?

• The principal change is that we are simplifying our Bestinvest advice offering by withdrawing our Invest For Your Goals advice package.
• You can still speak to a Bestinvest Coach at no cost if you want to talk about your goals, your portfolio and what is going on in the market.
• We will also continue to offer the Portfolio Health Check service for clients who would like a personalised investment recommendation.
• Our Coaches can also point you to other resources or introduce you to another expert colleague at Evelyn Partners if you have more specialist advice needs.
