Investment process

The investment objective of the Fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investment in a diversified portfolio of Asia ex-Japan Small and Mid Cap equity securities. The Fund aims to achieve its investment objective primarily through investment in equity securities of companies with a small or middle market capitalisation all of which will be domiciled or exercising the predominant part of their economic activities in the Asia ex-Japan region.

Cho-Yu Kooi

Prior to joining JO Hambro, Kooi worked as a portfolio manager at Silver Metis Capital Management and from 2001-2008 at Lloyd George management, in charge of Lloyd George Asian Smaller Companies Fund and the Siam Recovery Fund. Prior to this she worked at UBS and DBS Asset Management. Kooi graduated from LSE with a First Class BSc (Hons) Economics and is CFA qualified.
