Our new fund rating system

We have updated our fund rating system to focus on those funds that we have the highest conviction in. Here we explain how it works and what has changed.

What’s changed?

We are now using a simpler system. We now have a smaller, more concentrated list of rated funds, and all funds will now be either rated or not rated. You may have been familiar with our previous star-rating system, where funds were given between one and five stars. Our rated funds are generally those that were awarded between three and five stars in the past (with some exceptions).

Why have we changed it?

We changed our system to give greater emphasis to the funds we have the most conviction in – those that we think are the best of the best. With fewer funds we can also provide more in-depth coverage of those that made it onto the list, giving you more information to help you with your investment decisions.
